SOLAR PANELS IN THE SEA

XLAND

floating solar in the Adriatic Sea

Offshore solar platforms XLAND are designed to meet the challenging demands of offshore solar energy production.

They are a patented system that optimizes solar output with the best floating conditions and durability. The flexible structure and floats minimize wave excitation.

This design is specifically engineered to withstand complex marine conditions, not only due to potential wave conditions but also to typical open-sea challenges such as corrosion, seabird guano, and other environmental factors.

Every detail has been considered to optimize productivity and minimize maintenance costs.

XLAND platforms are scalable and can extend laterally to several kilometers in length, allowing for the development of offshore installations with capacities of hundreds of MW.

XLAND platforms are optimized to both capture the maximum amount of wind available at sea (which leads to lower temperatures and increased efficiency) and to capture the greatest number of solar rays reflected off the sea.

The XLAND offshore platforms can be integrated with the solution developed by Qint’x for hydrogen production directly from seawater.
